Charlotte has worked at Collingwood Legal since 2011 and undertook the firm’s first training contract before qualifying in May 2015. Since then she has continued to develop her specialism in employment law and she is recommended by the Legal 500 for being "extremely knowledgeable and fast-working" and our clients rate her "excellent communication skills’ and ‘ability to adapt to a wide range of scenarios" . Charlotte was also a finalist for the Rising Star award at the Northern Law Awards in 2018.

Charlotte has a wide range of experience and acts for individuals and employers in the public, private and third sectors. She regularly advises in relation to a full range of workplace procedures and has experience of tackling difficult grievance and disciplinary matters. She has also assisted business clients with complex collective redundancies, organisational restructures and trade union disputes including in relation to recognition agreements. She is experienced at drafting bespoke employment policies, procedures and related correspondence. She frequently advises individuals on the terms of settlement agreements, employment contracts and consultancy agreements.

In her role Charlotte also has litigation experience and often advises both employers and employees in relation to Employment Tribunal and civil court proceedings. She handles claims on behalf of clients relating to a wide range of claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and injunctive relief. Charlotte has also successfully represented clients at Tribunal.

Charlotte is also involved in the firm’s training division which sees her prepare and deliver external training, including bespoke training packages, on the full range of employment law issues. She frequently contributes to articles and newsletters produced by the firm.

She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly attends keynote talks through the Industrial Law Society.
