Sarah is recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners as an employment law expert. She has specialised in employment law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2000. Sarah's experience includes acting predominantly for public and private sector employers in relation to a wide range of issues such as discrimination, dismissal, redundancy, business transfers and post termination restraint clauses. She has conducted her own cases in the Employment Tribunal and she has also advised and instructed counsel in connection with proceedings at the High Court, EAT and Court of Appeal.
Prior to joining Collingwood Legal, Sarah worked for a large commercial firm in Newcastle for five years and has also been a Principal Lecturer at Northumbria University where she lectured in employment law on postgraduate courses. Sarah's experience and ability is recognised externally with clients commenting that she is 'technically very strong' (Chambers 2014)
